Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default 1997 K2500 Suburban 5.7 towing

Whats up guys? Haven't been on in an while and I wanted to get some good old advice.

So my current truck is as the title says a K2500 Burb, 4x4, 5.7 vortec.

I'm picking up a Wild Wood X-Lite 262BH travel trailer and I was just curious on how the towing experience may be....

I had two Duramax's, then went to a 93 K2500 Burb 454TBI, and now I have my 97. I know it won't even come close to my Dura, but will it at least be a fairly problem free tow? It does ride on 4.10's with the 4l80. 2nd to 3rd shift has a very faint slip if you give it hell, but its not enough for me to worry really. hoping a filter and some fresh fluid will help that.

The travel trailer dry weight is 5500, and fully loaded I'm gonna say 6200 to be on the safe side.

I'm just a little worried about the old girl....Shes pushin 320k miles now! Original everything

The old tbi 454 did decent with the 8k lb springdale travel trailer i used to have.

I've been comparing power numbers for a week or so, but id like to hear from some of the real people.
