1997 Chevy Suburban 350 vortec
Was on my way home the other day when the car died on me all of a sudden and would not start. Cranks and starts with starter fluid.
Fuel pressure gauge only goes to 10 maybe 15 PSI when the ignition is turned on and pump turns on. Trying to crank doesn't make it go up. Same results when bypassing the relay and using a jumper wire to make the fuel pump turn on.
I assume it's the fuel pump but want to make sure before I replace it.
here is a link of what the pump sounds like when turned on.

yeah sounds like the fuel pump. replace the fuel filter also as theyre usually the reasons for failed pumps as they will make the pump work harder to pump fuel if theyre really dirty
