hey new to this forum I've had my k2500 for about 6 months and its been an OK truck. I'm mainly an import guy and bought this purely out of necessity for towing.

heres the truck, its a 99 with 170k miles.


the reason i got it



well here are my problems.

1. the truck has a hard starting issue when warm, not when cold or hot. no codes, no misfire, no drivability issues it would seem. from the little bit of searching i have done, it looks like possibly a bad FPR? (please chime in if you have any other suggestions)

2. the heater core blew out on my way to colorado from san diego, (already replace the heater core but i shattered the lower cover, anyone know where i can find one other than the junk yards?

3. the heater core seems to always have coolant running to it, i haven't been able to tell if the heater control valve is actuating or not. but i was wondering if anyone had any diagrams for this.

4. it has a broken exhaust manifold stud, and lost the heat shield for the spark plug (i put a flame jacket on the plug wire as a band aid fix) anyone know where i can get those heat shields?

5. the truck has ZERO ***** when towing a car and trailer. i need more power stat! any recommended bolt in headers, intakes, tuners, exhaust ect...... (keep in mind where i live now i don't have any smog regulations, which is awesome)

6. my rear window wiper only comes on when i press the brakes lol.... don't really give a crap about that i can figure it out.
