Default 1999 Suburban windshield wiper and cruise control problems

The windshield wipers and cruise control on my 1999 Suburban work very intermittently-more often than not they don't work. My hunch is that it's the multi-function switch (turn signal). Any ideas on how to diagnose this problem?

Thanks

I'm having problems as well but it's only the left turn signal. Sometimes when I turn it on the indicator light stays on and it makes a buzzing noise the right always seems to work fine, and when this happens the cruise no longer works. Also if I have the key in the ignition and step on the brake the door buzzer sounds and the dash lights come on. It seems to do that all the time not sure if it's related.

I have a 98 Suburban as well that does not run well so I think I will try that multi-function lever in my 99 to see if that takes care of the problem. I have found new switches on line as low as $60.

Try your brake switch first. Easy and cheap to fix. Fixed my CC . Could be that they are not related......

I'm having the same problem, but mine is only the wipers. When they are off, they continue to run for a couple of cycles, then stop. In all the delay settings, sometimes it will delay and sometimes it will go at low speed. Thanks for any help.
