Default 1999 Tahoe Rear A/C Blower

Good day,

I am having issues with the 10amp fuse (RR BLWR) blowing in my 1999 tahoe that controls the blower for rear a/c. I have searched the forums and web without finding anything too useful. Anyone have an idea where to start or what the cause may be?

The front ac works great and the 50amp in the engine bay does not blow.

thanks

If mine, I'd disconnect the wire harness to the rear blower motor itself, likely is 2-wire connector. Then turn on the system; if a new fuse doesn't blow, replace the rear blower motor. So try that, report back.

Unplug the power plug at the blower motor, if it still blows the fuse then your problem is in the wiring. If it does not blow the fuse the problem is in the blower motor or resistor.

Ok thanks for the advice…I’m fairly new to these so is the blower motor for the rear located on the right hand side of the cargo area?

Also I might add that when I replace the fuse it doesn’t always blow right away. The blower will work for a few minutes before popping the fuse…

I'll bet your fix is a new motor. Please report back on the fix!

Welp, unplugged the blower and fuse is holding strong. Looks like a new blower for me! Any recommendations? Must go OEM? or any highly rated aftermarket blowers? Junkyard?

The current one looks like a unimotor 35015 …? Made in Canada. Is that OEM or already an aftermarket?
