Cool 2000 chevy suburban steering issues

Hi Folks, I have a 2000 chevy suburban. Only thing different is I put in 20" wheels with 295/40-20 size tires. Problem is the steering is more erratic at high speeds. If the roads are ultra smooth, no problem. but if I hit a bump or imperfection on the road the steering wheel seems to want to jump to the right or left. If I put the stock tires back on, no problems. I'm wondering if I need to replace or upgrade the steering stabilizer???

I also have a jeep grand cherokee 1997 and when I bought and had a lift kit installed to put on 31" mud tires, the kit came with an aftermarket steering stabilizer.

I was just wondering if I need to do the same for the suburban. There is no lift kit, just larger 20" tires.

Thanks...
