2000 Chevy Tahoe Engine Ticking Noise at Low RPMs
I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe and my engine makes a ticking noise while being driven at low RPMs or in first or second gear. The ticking seems to stop once I'm in third gear and when I'm coasting. The ticking is a lot less noticeable once the car is completely warmed up. Any ideas in correcting this would be greatly appreciated!
could be number of things, valve and lifters, loose connecting rod, piston slap, and the transmission can make its share of ticking sounds too, and of course there are the nails or screws in the tire ticking sounds, or something wrapped around the drive shaft ticking sounds...
