My A/C on my 2000 Suburban only works on speeds 3,4,5. I was wondering if I could replace the head unit with one from the junk yard that has automatic A/C, possibly from a Yukon or Escalade. Is this possible or should I just find a replacement from what I already have?

 

auto a\c cannot be added by just replacing the control head. There are many sensors and wiring that is not there that you must have.

And your problem sounds like a blower motor resistor, not the control head
