2000 suburban wont communicate with scanner unless I use a jumper wire at the splice
These are the codes it has
I have a 2000 suburban scanner wont communicate to pull codes or data unless I use a jumper wire at the splice pack g205 under the steering column... I'll try to post a video of what my truck is doing... with the codes its throwing it shouldn't be able to start and run but it does run n fine just the dash looks like an airplane with all the lights on... I changed ignition switch, tried the cluster, then when I disconnected the bcm the truck started and stayed running with no issues, and then I unplugged the 3 wires on top the ignition lock cylinder it still ran with no issues... I checked all fuses, all good. Checked all grounds all good..THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND ADVICE IN ADVANCED.

All are offline until I use the jumper wire.. I checked the grounds in the frame by the abs module, the ground behind the passenger side head.. all are ok

if the class 2 data line wire to the dlc is open you will not be able to connect to the scan tool. the truck will have at least 6 modules...most module power and grd sources are not shared. since you have lost all modules and the class 2 data lines are wired in series at splice 205....and you jumped a open and they now communicate
disconnect the splice from all modules and check continuity on the dlc pin 2 to each output at the splice.
disconnect the splice from all modules and check continuity on the dlc pin 2 to each output at the splice.
