Default 2000 tahoe hard start

Hi All
Just found the site. My 2000 tahoe starts hard after warm up. I have a new fuel pump and have ran sea foam through it I have to give it some gas then starts but turns over alot. The truck starts right up if cold. I have put new plugs and fuel filter in. The tahoe has a 5.3 eng and about 100000 miles runs fine when it starts.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Which came first, the problem or fuel pump, sea foam, new plugs, or fuel filter? Was the fuel pressure checked at some point?

Well, can you be more specific? You replaced the fuel pump and started having the warm start problem? The sea foam, new plugs, and fuel filter were to try to counter the said problem? Why did you replace the fuel pump in the first place? You never checked the fuel pressure before or after? How long after you replaced the fuel pump did you start having the warm start problem?

I had the same problem on the same car when I first got mine. I tried everything you tried with replacing plugs, wires and fuel filter. I spent too much money at a mechanic to get that only to find out on my own the fuel pressure regulator needed to be replaced. It was only like 48 bucks from O'Reillys and took like 5 minutes to install. Now my car starts on the first try every time. Hopefully this helps.
