Default 2000 Tahoe Limited

I hope I picked the right thread for this question
I have a 00 Tahoe limited
from factory it's lowered 2 inches
I want to go additional 2-3 but can't tell how Chevy did the first 2.
Does anyone know if they did springs? spindles? Shackles etc....
It would be a waste of my time and money to duplicate what they did.

Thanks
Brian

Also any other limited owners I'd like to talk to you about any things you have done.

My understanding is that it had the "Police" suspension package.
What the did to get it lower, I do not know.
My 99 bone stock 2wd Tahoe only has about 2" of free space before the front a-arm or the rear axle touches the bump stops.
Go to a GM parts website and see if there are different part numbers for a Limited vs LS.
Look at spindles, a-arms, springs, shackles, bump stops, etc.

WC4J: Welcome to the forum.

They might have used shorter coils in front and flatter leafs in the rear.

My last truck was a Limited. I am pretty sure they did it with different springs.

Ya know, that "factory lowered 2 inches" could be all B.S.
I never measured the wheel well height of a Limited to compare to my LS.
But since the roof rack was deleted and different tires were installed, is that the marketing peoples defenition of "factory lowered 2 inches" ???

What year is your four door 2WD LT??

Just for chuckles, what is the measurement from the ground up to the upper middle and lower edge of the front wheel well/opening.

If it is a 1999 body version, then there has to be different components other than just springs to get it 2" lower.
Otherwise the suspension is bottomed out to the standard Tahoe bump stops.
