Hey, all. Currently dealing with a moody shifter on this cold Sunday morning. Occasionally, my shifter gets stuck in park and when it’s done being moody it easily shifts into gear. The issue is that I don’t know WHY this is happening. All my switches and cables have been accounted for and it seems the problem rears its ugly head still from time to time. I saw a video about the newer Tahoes having a pin that you can manually push down which allows the shifter to go into gear, but upon inspecting my shift mechanism it doesn’t appear I have one. Could it really be that the older vehicle has the more complicated tech/mechanism here? Any help appreciated.
