2001 Fuel pump problems
My 01 Suburban with 77000 miles on the odometer has a constant whine from the fuel pump. I replaced the pump 30000 miles ago, due to the same phenomen and the whine disappeard. Now it came back at approx 65000 miles. What should I do, replace or just don't care about it? Will the pump brake down?
Also lately had problems with battery drain out overnight, similar to what's dicussed in the Tahoe forum, Anyone else with such problems??

I have a 1999, my pump used to make some noise too. Today when I turned the key I didn't have that familiar sound, and of course the engine failed to start. I changed the relay under the hood, since that was the only electronic thing I couldn't actually view. Try again, no dice.
When the tow driver showed up he asked what's it doing and I told him. He said in these exact words, "It's your fuel pump, Ive towed many of these and it's the same thing, they are notorious for going bad."
So, I'll do a little more research, then probably change a few pump. It made the whine since I've owned it for 3 years, so who knows how long they last.
Best wishes.
