2001 suburban broken front cv axle
While driving down the road I heard a loud bang. I stopped looked under the front to see the cv axle broken off from the center transfer case. I bought a new one but don't have the bolts that attached it to the transfer case. They were lost when it broke off? Any idea on the size of the bolts?

I'm thinking if the bolts broke off the cv shaft you have more problems than just the shaft. I would think something isn't right in the transfer case . just my 2c
good luck

Im not surebif I understand. Are you talking about the other cv axle. I havent looked yet. Its been parked since it happened. All I can tell so far. The cv axle is still held in by the big nut in the hub area.

having a look probably would be a good idea. See what else is damaged.
Get the proper bolts from the dealer or wrecking yard. bolting parts together with the wrong grade fasteners for suspension and drivetrain parts is not recommended.
