Default 2001 Suburban Heater Blend Door - hot is cold, cold is hot

I inherited my father in laws 2001 Suburban. Recently the Blend Door Actuator broke and I replace it. Seemed a simple fix, which it was. I followed all of the steps to re calibrate it, and I cannot figure out why I problem with the heat/cold selector switch.

When the dial is turned to heat, it blows cold, and when turned to cold, it blows hot. I have taken it off several time and it turns OK, and works when you turn the heat control dial, but it is backwards.

For the life of me, I have searched this everywhere and I cannot find a solution to this problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
