Default 2002 Suburban LS, 32kmi. Maintenance Q's.

Hello all!

Last year I bought a 2002 Suburban which at the time had 25k miles. I've driven it to just over 31k miles since then and I've had the following issues.

I'd appreciate any advice, as well as any general maintenance tips for something that sat this long.
  • 1-2 shift is intermittently stiff, all other shifts are smooth
  • Front end clunking/ratting over bumps
  • Grinding/rattling noise start up & intermittent struggle to start.
  • Rear end clunk 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.
  • Truck shakes over hard bumps, even at highway speed (nature of the beast?). I know these don't ride well in general, but sometimes it feels like I was about to lose control.

Thank you!

I think you should get all the fluids replaced, and get a real mechanic to check the suspension, front end, motor mounts.
