Default 2003 with 4wd issue

Hello,

The other day I noticed my push button 4wd selector was not lit and would not go into 4 wheel drive. As the day went on it went to the "red" neutral position. And now seems okay but I have not tried the four wheel drive. Does anyone know where I could start checking to find the problem?

Thanks,
Brent

Default RE: 2003 with 4wd issue

I haven't had any exp with the push button 4WD but I would start with the button itself, pull it out and clean up the contacts if they are accessible, also reseating the connector harness wouldn't hurt.
If that doesn't clear up the issue then Id start looking at the system that push button engages in the transfer case/ transmission.

Default 2005 with 4wd issues..

Did you ever get your 4wd issues fixed, my 2005 Tahoe Z71 is having weird 4wd issues, sometimes it just goes into neutral going down the road, or it won't go into 2wd, etc...
