Default 2003 Chevy Tahoe

I had a engine replaced on my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. Its a 5.3 liter. I’m looking over the engine compartment and I noticed that on the top side of the throttle body there is a vapor canister purge valve. It has a hose coming off of it, but the hose is just dangling from the valve with a screw in the hose on the opposite end. I don’t think that’s correct. Please advise. Thanks

Yeah, that hose should be hooked up to the vapor canister. If you live in a state with smog controls it won't pass like that.

So basically what I’m asking is one end of the hose connects to the vapor purge valve canister, what does the other end of the hose connect to?

It should go to the TBI or to a valve that controls how much vapor is allowed to be burned off during certain cycles. I'll assume that you have a used vehicle and someone messed around with your Vapor system.
