Question 2003 Suburban 2500 6.0 Question Reduced engine power

I have had a VERY intermittent issue with my suburban, and was wondering if anyone has had this issue.

I have owned this truck for 6 years now, and use it for heavy towing as well as long distance road trips (5000+ miles in 2 weeks) Other then doing this, the truck sits in the garage covered for months at a time (LOL)

On 3 (just 3) occasions I have had reduced engine power pop up on the notification screen and the truck basically cuts all power to just off idle

Looking into this code I can see that it is caused by a difference in what the throttle is sensed at and what your gas petal is at and has something to do with the electronic throttle.

But I do not know where to start with fixing an issue that happens on a rarity.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Welcome to the Forum.
This site is replete with threads related to Reduced Power, and they are not model or year specific. It occurs on just about all. Do a search from the main page to read some of the attempted "fixes".

Though I can't give you any direct advice on a single item, there is a trend toward Grounds being one of the focal points. Remedy being, check all, remove, clean, replace as necessary and tighten firmly.
