Unhappy 2003 Suburban awd system

Hey guys,

I tried to search around for an answer but I didn't find any. So I really need some help with this. We have a 2003 Suburban LT with the electric awd system and its going crazy in us... Here is a rundown of what its been doing:

1. Randomly goes from 2wd to 4wd auto or 4hi or 4 low or neutral when we first turn the car on

2. Sometimes we can take it back but usually it gets stuck there until we turn the car off and on a few times. Then we can switch it back.

3. My diffs are leaking oil. So I'm thinking I need to change the gaskets.

4. There is a loud noticeable clunk from the car every time we switch it back to 2wd.

It could be a faulty 2wd/4wd/awd dashboard switch. My trailblazer did the same thing. The switch was replaced under a recall and the problem went away.

Are the diffs leaking at the gaskets or the seals?

I'll have to take a closer look at the diffs to make sure. Is the warranty covered even now for the part?

The diffs should be part of the 5/100 powertrain warranty.
