Hi,
A friend offered just bought a new car and wants to sell his Tahoe.
My question is: should I buy this truck? It seems like a good deal, but how bad is 100k miles on these trucks?
Price $12,000 (this is what Carmax offered him)
2003 Chevy Tahoe LT
102k miles (almost all highway, if that matters)
5.3 liter engine
Leather, sunroof, CD Changer, quad seat, 3rd row seating, heated seats, towing, 2wd
Excellent condition.
What problems do 2003 Tahoe's have that I should look for?
Thanks in advance.

It doesn't seem like a terrible deal. It's hard to say without seeing the truck. I disagree with Phoenix on the miles, my 07 will have that much by this time next year. I hope it still has a lot of life left, otherwise I'm screwed.

I've had it less than 6 months, and I have 30K on it. Most of my heavy driving is done in the winter. I'm a salesman so I pretty much live in my car. This helps to explain why my car payment is bigger than my house payment.
