2003 Z-71w/5.3 wont run
Hello All,
This is my first post here, and unfortunately it involves a problem.
I own a 2003 Z71 with the 5.3, and it has 115k miles. I'm preparing to take a road trip from the Dallas TX area to Winter Park colorado, so I decided to do a tuneup today. I bought AC Delco OEM spark plugs, new bosch plug wires, fuel filter, PCV valve, and did an oil change with Mobil1
I also installed a Spectra Cold air kit. this kit re-uses the old MAF sensor.
So for my problems, I have a Check engine light on, and found code 0499, not totally sure what that means. After replacing the plugs, oil change, and the cold air kit, I went to drive the truck, and had issues. The engine will bog and sputter if I press the accelerator pedal. It also is idling as if it is running on only 4cylinders. So, what could I have to do cause this? I've re-checked all the plug wires, and they all appear to be properly fitted. So what do I do?
Thanks!
Corey

As a follow up, I took the suburban to my local dealer, it turns out that the fuel pump was only giving about 25psi, so it was a total coincidence as to the timing. New fuel pump, and I'm on the road.
