Default 2004 radio doesn't work on hot days

My 2004 chev. Tahoe stereo will sometimes not work if the car is shut off on a hot day and restarted again later on. The So far the only solution I've found is to stop and unhook the battery and it works again or just suck it up without music and once everything has cooled down it will work again. Wondering if anyone has found a fix for this that I can do while driving.
I should clarify that it's only the music that doesn't work, the stereo is on but nothing is coming out of that speakers
