This is a cross post. I actually have an 04 escalade but the Cadillac forums aren't too active. And I assume most of the inner workings are the same:Hey hey. So just recently I had an issue come up with my truck.



It's a 2004 Escalade Platinum with about 108k on the odo.



What happens: I remote start the truck and it cranks, starts, and immediately shuts off. Doesn't stay started for less than a second.



After that I can no longer unlock the door with the key fob. Once I manually unlock it and go in its as if the car thinks it's still started in remote start mode and I have to press the break to get it out of that mode.



From there I can crank the car like normal with no issues or hesitation. I've tried disconnecting the battery to reset everything but no luck.



I've never had any issues before with the remote start so I'm not sure why I am now. I can't tell if the security system is shutting it down or if something else is happening.



Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm ready to go out there and troubleshoot all you have to offer!
