Default 2004 Suburban Brake pressure not fully releasing

Stepping on brake pedal, I notice it seems higher than normal. Engine is downshifting as brakes seem to be dragging evenly (not pulling to one side or the other). Shut car off and checked brake fluid it was full.. Now back to normal til I hit the brakes again. What part or how does the brake system release the pressure after a braking event? Thanks

removing your foot from the pedal stops the braking. Did you confirm the brakes drag by jacking it up and turning the wheels by hand?
You might have rotten flex lines. When the fluid is neglected the rubber swells and pinches off.

You might need to replace the rubber lines as they might have swelled up.

Think I found the Source of the problem... Got the idea to take out a bit of brake fluid, thinkin the recent hot weather had maybe expanded it too much. Sucked out a couple ounces with a clean turkey baster and found LOTS of rust particles in it! Now, how to remedy?

you need to flush it all out with fresh brake fluid. Sounds like the brake lines are starting to rust out.

Thanks for the helpful links. Eric the Car Guy always has great info.

Think I'll let the professionals take care of this from here.
