Default 2004 Suburban Rear Blend Door Wiring: Which colors go to which pins?

Help! I'm trouble-shooting the rear blend door actuators for my 2004 suburban Z71. Here's the situation:

- Front climate controls / fan work perfectly hot and cold.

- Rear blower and control/dial work, but the electronic controls/dials for the ceiling/floor vent selector and the hot/cold blend door do nothing. I know the AC works because with the blend door actuators removed, I can get cold air or hot air by manually turning the blend door spindle with my fingers. The dials are non-functional.

- I replaced both blend door actuators and nothing changed; still no movement at the blend door actuators. Dead end. Then, I noticed that the 5-pin connector for the blend door had a wire in a slot without a pin on the motor. I believe that my plastic connectors have wires in the wrong slots, or I have the wrong type of actuators. I discovered (later) that I can buy three-pin actuators, but I originally ordered the actuators that were recommended as a fit for my vehicle and they have five pins.

- The connection has three wires for six slots. I checked voltage to each wire with a volt meter:
- Brown - Constant 12 Volts (Must be power)
- Black - Constant 0 Volts (Must be ground)
- White - Voltage Ranges from 0-12 based on the dial position (Floor/Blend/Ceiling)- (Must be position input)

- The Blend door actuator motors have 5 pins and an empty slot. The pins are numbered:
- 10
- 9
- (Blank)
- 7
- 6
- 5

Here are my questions:

- What color wires go to which number pins?
- Are the five-pin actuators that I have the wrong part and I should have ordered three-pin actuators?
- Once I have the wires in the correct slots and everything installed, do I need to do a calibration procedure?

Thanks for the help.
