Default 2004 Tahoe Howl Noise, Please Help

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me figure this noise out on my Tahoe.

Vehicle: 04 Tahoe, LT, 5.3 Flex, AWD w/Stabilitrack 103,000 miles

Problem: Notice a noise, like a low howl, when accelerating. It becomes more pronounced when I back off the accelerator and slightly use it to just maintain speed. If I put in neutral (with accelerator still depressed) while driving the sound is gone instantly and then comes back when placed back in drive. This noise will continue during deceleration too.

I have drained and replaced the front Diff and the Transfercase fluids and the noise is still there.

Dose not matter if I am in a turn or straight, same noise.

Any help you experts could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

What did the problem end up being? My 2004 Tahoe just started to do the same thing at 105,000 miles.

sounds like a rear pinion bearing or might even just be a U joint.
