2005 1500 Suburban Lifter job??
I have fallen victom to the noisy lifter and think it is time to change them.
I have tried the motor medic engine flush for 5 minutes at idle and then changed the oil using 5 qts of 5w-30 and 1qt of risolene. No luck. I have tried the the B12 down the push rod hole clean up. No luck. To add to my problems the gauge cluster stepper motors on my RPM and Oil psi have gone bad (recall on 2003-2006). I am going to replace the stepper motors before the lifter job so I can see my oil psi after the lifter job. I can feel my engine missing and it runs real rough in the cold mornings. My questions are what type of lifters do I need to buy for my vehicle and if I don't roll my engine do I still need to adjust the lifters. Any suggestions or tips for this job will be greatly appreciated. One more thing...any suggestions for a good repair manual???
Thanks for the help

actually you can dis-assemble the lifters and clean them... did this once or twice before... but this is of course as long as they are in good shape.
if not, buy o.e.m lifters and I don't believe those lifters are adjustable... Haynes or Chilton offer quality manuals or your local library my have GM service manuals that you can copy
