Hello. On our way home last night in the pouring rain the ABS on our Suburban came on. We've never had any problems with our SUV so I'm a bit surprised. No other warning lights on, no funny sounds, etc. Any suggestions as to what could be causing the light to come on would be greatly appreciated.

The light could come on for many reasons. You need ti have the ABS computer scanned for codes.

 

Its a shotgun approach, but you could disconnect the battery for a minute or two to clear all codes and see if it comes back, could have been a fluke due to the heavy rain... might want to check the connections at each wheel sensor...

If it returns you will need to follow MDTAHOE's advice and have it checked by a shop that can read the ABS codes...
