Default 2005 Chevy Suburban... thoughts?

Howdy
I'm completely new to the Chevy world. I've always owned Fords. Recently our agency came into a 2005 Chevy 2500 Suburban. The price was right and so far it appears in amazing shape. It has new tires, brakes, no rust, it's got the tow package. This thing looks amazing.
Is there anything I need to watch for? Anything I need to check? It's throwing an "Check Engine Light" for the EVAP Canister. I'm getting that fixed now. I can't believe how much pep it's got and how nice it drives for a heavy truck.
