I have a 2005 chevy tahoe lts with 5.3 engine 250,000 miles. The engine is making a loud clicking sound when running. Unable to pinpoint where is it coming from. The sound is in idle and speeds up when I drive. I tried the suggested additives, and oil change nothing has helped. Everything else in the car sppeds up fast strong pull and no decrease in power or speed, any suggestions?

 

Welcome to Chevy. What's your oil coosumption? Our 05 Sub at that mileage was smoking and burning a quart every 700 mliles.
