2005 z71 burb
hello all, this is my first post here at the Chevy forum. prolly should've put this in the intro section. sorry, dont have alot of time at work.
well i have a 2005 z71 suburban, 4wd. 136K on the clock. we have owned for almost 2 years. the check engine light has always been on. my edge monitor says "transmission components slipping" when i clear the codes it only takes a few miles for it to come back on. does anyone have any idea if maybe i change tranny fluid and filter it would help. or am i doomed? we love the burb, but its had alot of "little issues" like temp control, blower motors, seat heaters not working and also the drivers seat controls are backwards! i dont understand it.
my big question is the transmission though. should i service it, or just go ahead pull it and rebuild it. thanks for all and any help

Welcome to the forum, your post is in the right place
What does the Tranny fluid look like ? is it and has it been maintained to the correct fluid level...
If its starting to turn brown its probably going down for the count...
