Default 2006 Tahoe, No Brake Lights

Hello,
I have no brake lights that come on but both the fuse and the bulbs are good. There is nothing else wrong with the tahoe either. I am somewhat stupid when it comes to vehicles so if anyone has any suggetions where I might be able to go from here it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

there could be several things involved, you checked the fuse and lamps, also check the brake pedel switch, look under the dash and you should see a switch or two that activate when the pedel is pressed down, check to see if the switch is moving or not...I have not worked with the brake system extenisively enough to know if there is a relay involved but that may also be something to check.

go to the pedal switch, there is an orange wire that should have B+ voltage all the time, and the white wire should have B+ while the pedal is pressed. If the voltage goes intot he switch but won't come out, replace the switch. If you don't have voltage, look for a broken wire, or just run a new one to the orange wire
