Default 2006 tahoe reduced power/disabled stability system...

My 2006 tahoe slowed down...message: Engine reduced power / disabled stability system...accelerator wouldn't work ...vehicle ran at 10 +/- mph...tc (traction control symbol lighted)...) ...(check engine symbol lighted) pulled off road...let sit 10 minutes or so...started up ,ran fine ...drove a few hundred yards same thing occurred...had towed in (from baltimore suburbs to arlington,va.garage)...garage found nothing wrong...no messages , no codes... Test drive +/_ a mile ran fine ...picked up car drove about 2 miles ...o.k. ...next day drove about 1 mile ,happened again...this time check tire alert system message as well as others...back in garage for repair... I've read everything i can find on internet...seems nobody gets this problem fixed ...can't rely on my tahoe for my weekly trips to baltimore (125 -130 miles round trip) no confidence that this not continuing to happen...anyone have any positive advice other than "get a new ford" ...???

Yep, I replaced the Harness on mine too, but had to go though the Grounds as well. There's been a LOT of discussion on this, and these items haven't been all that caused the message. Mine hasn't done it in quite a while now.

But I understand, I was running in the middle lane of I-10, 60-70 mph, 5pm, and all of a sudden, I'm only able to drive 10-15 mph.

NOT a good feeling.

My 2006 did the same thing. Turns out I had to replace the fuel pump. Now I’m getting the Stability Sys disabled code
