Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default 2007 and 2008 Tahoe... difference?

I'm originally a member of this forum because I used to have a Lumina SS and nearly bought a C4 Corvette, so i've spent a bit of time browsing!

Anyway, I currently have a Jeep Commander Hemi as the family wagon but quite fancy a Tahoe (the Commander isn't big enough! LOL!). I would like the Z71, not because of offroading - just because it's the top of the line. Is this stupid? Is the Z71 that much more suited to offroad that it's not suitable for the wife's highway shopping trips?

Also, what about the difference between a '07 and '08? I can get a good deal on an '07 z71, whereas the '08's jump up in price - any big reason for that.

Thanks for your advice in advance.

P.s. I'm living in Dubai.

Welcome back to the forum.

Actually the LTZ is the top of the line while the Z/71 is an option pkg for the LT. The main difference that I'm aware of is the 2008s have the chrome grill, mirror caps, and door handles.

Price jump due to one model year newer.
