Default 2007 BCM location

Hi All,

So I was changing my front passenger side differential seal and then I changed my drivers side cv axle. The job was straight forward and went thru without a hitch.

Then when i put my car down from the lift, I couldn't start the car.

The windows go up and down, the wipers run, headlights run, dash lights come on, radio comes on

the batter is full, the remotes and power locks dont work, interior lights dont work,

but the engine doesn't crank, my friend ran the diagnostics and some code of lost communication with control module came up.

Needless to say i purchased an ac delco bcm from ebay based on my VIN.

Now where in the world does this little black box go?

Ive seen diagrams of 07 tahoe showing under the driver side front wall, under the center console. I have yet to take out the console since i dont know how, but have ordered a chiltons book in the mean time.

Any help both written or image would be great

Default location of bcm

found the BCM its located under the steering column, 3 screws and some pulling and i got it out.

of course being the genius i am, i got it out and installed the new one, but then i realized i could have just taken this thing to the dealership and given my vin and they wouldn't have charged 1 hour labor.

the car starts and runs like it should now.

So the BCM was bad or just needed programming?

Default BCM was bad and needed replacement

the BCM went bad, i should have seen this coming because earlier my remote start stopped working and little odd end things started happening in the car like dome lights wouldn't work based on how i set it up or chimes would go up and down

subtle changes
