Default 2007 Suburban LTZ front shock replacement

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum.

I'm looking for advice on replacing the front shocks on my 2007 Suburban LTZ with the Z55 Autoride suspension.

The dealership has quoted around $1000.00 to replace.

The only alternative I can find is a local off-road shop who says they've found a Rancho shock that fits and is compatible with the autoride, and has quoted around $600.00. My concern is these Ranchos are "quicklifts" that will add 2" of lift to the front. I don't really want to drastically change the look of the vehicle, and I don't want to decrease the ride quality or handling, but I do like the thought of saving $400.00.

Does anyone have any experience with the quicklifts?

Any other thoughts or input would be appreciated.

Thank you!
