Default 2007 Suburban power liftgate won't work from gate

The power liftgate works fine from the button inside and from the key fob. When I push the button on the gate nothing happens.
Any suggestions??

sounds like your lift gate switch could be bad.if you can, pull the rear panel and have a look at the switch. if you have a multimeter you can check the switch with the meter.it could also be a broken wire in the rear lift gate from the switch.i pulled a schematic of your rear lift gate and it looks like the switch grounds the circuit to the rear lift gate power latch assembly.you could also see if there are codes stored in the bcm which controls the rear lift gate.hope this helps.
