Default 2007 Tahoe Hood Adjustment

The gap between the hood and the cowl is larger on the drivers side than on the passenger side. The front left corner of the hood also sticks out just past the fender a smidge. How do you adjust the hood front to back. Years ago you loosened the hinge bolts and you had some play there. I tried that and it wouldn't move at all. Has anyone done this?

Thanks,

Jeff

its probably bent. It is very easy to do.push down on the affected area to try and bend it back a little.
I only know this because i have left a pair of pliersunder the hood when I closed it and cause the exact same concern. I popped the hood, took out the plier, and pushed down on the hood and you couldn't tell what I had done

If it's bent then that doesn't explain the mismatch in the gap at the cowl between left and right sides.

It isn't sticking up higher than the fender it is sticking out in front of the fender, out over the headlamp.
