2007 Tahoe...Int. Door Lock Release

RE: 2007 Tahoe...Int. Door Lock Release
Come on guys...Let's put on our thinking caps!
Are you guys saying that there isn't a way to modify the int door handle to release the locking mechanism or that we don't know how?
Since, I'm not mechanically inclined, has anyone taken off the door panel? If so, easy to do?

RE: 2007 Tahoe...Int. Door Lock Release
it can be done, but if your not good or understand relays than I would probably leave it to apro at a local customizing shop. You can sensor the interior handle linkage to trigger relays to unlock onlythe drivers door actuator. The trick here would be to get the relays to unlock the door on the first pull, than basically ignore the second pull when the door is opening. If you dont isolate the second pull, which you could do with timed relays, when you would go to open the door the actuator would try to unlock again when the door would be opening. Also they're would be a point at which you could not lock the doors because you would be waiting for the relay timers to die out allowing full operation of the door lock. It could be done.......but the real question here is why dont you just go to the DIC and select auto unlock DRIVER in park. when you put it in park the only door to unlock would be the driver?
