Default 2007 Tahoe Lower Ball Joint

Does anyone know if the Pittsburgh,60827 ball joint press kit will work for the lower ball joint on a 2007 Tahoe? If not can I buy just the right cup set?

It's been several years since I did mine so I can't remember exactly which ball joint tool I used. I used the ball joint that has the large nut with the 4 notches in it as opposed to the press in one with the snap ring.

The only ball joint tool I have is Harbor Freight 38335 which looks identical to the maddox 63279 they have in the store now which looks like the 60827 you mention.

You can measure your existing ball joint and see if what's included in the HF ball joint kit will fit. You can search the HF part number via google to find the pdf instructions. In there it shows the inside and outside diameters of the tubes in the kit.

HF also sells additional adapters if needed but by the time you buy both kits, it's cheaper to buy two lower control arms. Plus, the new arms come with all new bushings as well.
