Hi -
I'm this close (holding thumb and index finger about an inch apart) to purchasing a new Tahoe. Currently, I have an '02 Trailblazer. The last few years I've been putting about 30k a year on my vehicle so I'm curious to know what type of mileage other '07 Tahoe owners are getting that spend 50-75 % of their time on the highways. How many miles are you getting to a tank?
Many thanks,
Mike

I have never run through an entire tank w/o filling up. I just use the onboard mileage calculation and recheck with a calculator after filling up.

well i've been driving back and forth to work some city some highway and i average about 15.. i had it on the Masspike, which is alot of up and down highway and i reset it and was getting only 16.8.. honestly i'd go with the trailerblazer with the dod v8.. lighter truck, therefore better mileage.. and they defenitly are much better than those l6 engines.

I'm getting 13.7 mpg overall average in my LTZ. I drive about the same percentage of hwy and city miles. I'm severely dissapointed in the gas mileage. It seems to make a difference whether you run the a/c or not. I'm in texas where it is hot, so I run it a lot.

I have a 4X4 model with 4.10 gears, I get about 16.5 MPG avg with about 50/50 Hwy/City driving, I just turned 3K miles last week.
I took a trip the first week I owned it and avg'd a little over 18 Hwy, got 455 miles one tank before the light came on and I filled it up.

I drive about 80% highway, but with the AC on always - I got 11.9 mpg typical, I put an exhaust on last weekend, so far i'm up to 13.9 mpg. I drive with a lead foot, and my commute is a little hilly, I'm seeing the instant mpg down to 2 or 3 mpg going uphill. I didn't by this big lug for the mileage, but was hoping for a little better mpg. I traded in a Lightning that got 11 mpg on super unleaded, so this is quite a bit better on regular.

Driving very carefully, I have managed to get a best of 18.1 mpg on the highway. (I only managed to get that kind of mileage on one tank.) I get an average of about 14.3 combination mileage. I run my tires at 40lbs and have installed a K&N replacement filter.
It's worth it for the luxury, great looks, size, and power. I just wish it was closer to the EPA mileage that I hoped I would get before I bought it. I still love the vehicle.

Drove our new LTZ from Montana to Yellowstone to Salt lake City-Las Vegas then home to Phoenix...Did lots of 45 MPH and 75 MPH with a total distance of 1600 miles...17MPG was our average which was much better than our 2003 Suburban Z71 we traded that got
13.2 average for 40k miles...I am sure our mileage will improve with the 4:10 gears around town if we keep the acceleration sane.
