Default 2007 Tahoe Speedometer Issue Please Help

Hi I have a 2007 Tahoe and for the past few days the bottom part of the speedometer does not light up after a few mins of starting up the truck. I am refering to the bottom left where it states the miles driven and the bottom right where it indicates P, R, D, 1, 2, 3 etc.

Has anyone else had this issue? Also is this covered by GMs warranty? Please help.

It would be covered under the basic 3/36 warranty or any extended warranty that covers the electronics.

Are you saying that it lites up initially and then goes out?

Thank you for the reply. This is not covered under the 10 yr 100 mi warranty?

Yes the lights come on for about a min and after that it dims out and goes black.

The 5/100K is only for the powertrain.

Got it. Looks like I have to purchase one on ebay to fix this issue. Does the new speedometer have to be programmed or is it plug and play? Also if it has to be programmed how much does this service usually run?

My guess is yes and will probably run 1/2 to 1 hour @ ~$85/hr.

i think you got defective product, if your warranty or insurance doesnt want to covered it, you can search through internet to buy the new ones. most of chevy indicator is plug n play
