Hi all,

So I've been having this issue off and on for a couple of years, but now it has consistently been happening lately. So the issue that sometime the rear power tailgate will respond to opening by pressing the exterior rubber switch on the door, and sometimes it won't. Also if the tailgate is open when I hit the interior button on the edge of the tailgate to close, all I hear is the latch triggering/clicking. I am not sure how to trouble shoot this issue.

Has anyone had these symptoms before? I wonder if the switch on the edge of the tailgate needs to be replaced. Like mentioned, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
