OKay... the headache is over thank God!!.. I want to kill Oreilly, but im gonna let them make it. From Begining, i replaced air filter with K&N
Then i did spark plugs and replaced with 41-110 if im not mistaken. Then did oil change and replaced with Valvoline fiully synthetic with mobil 1 filter. Got rough idle and runnning. And that Stabilitrac and Traction control off crap. Tested the SEL, got back cylinder 2 misfire 2wice. .. Swapped #2 wireing with #3, .. SEL came back on 15-20mins after reset. Same thing #2 again. So this time. since oreilly was about to close and they didnt have any more 41-110, , i swapped #2 plug with one of the old ones i took out. Unplugged battery, put it back in and voila "MAGIC" all back to normal. ugghhh!! what a headache.! I have never seen plugs affect the traction control ever!

just wanted to give you all the pics of some of the things i took out. The oil was black as &*%$. The filter took forever to come off. Someone lied to me .. An oil change was not done before i got the truck!. I replaced filter with K&N

I am glad that you got through it. I figured that you would break a plug or two and you got away with only breaking one. It is nice to get this first service in. It helps you to feel more in tune with your new vehicle and gives you a chance to learn a little more about it.

Unfortunately, too often you can not trust anyone when they tell you service was performed. Either way, it is good to get the oil changed. You may want to change it again around 3000 miles, especially since it was so dirty.

SWHouston,

I agree. It is nice to be able to share knowledge and try and point others in the right direction. It definitely provides you with some satisfaction when you solve a problem or help others to learn something new.

This forum is quite interesting and there are lots of users who like to help out. Their input and support is what helps to make a forum a great source of information and helps all owners to enjoy and learn more about their vehicles.

I, and I'm sure that you and others here visit other Forms as well. In fact, my post count on some others, is much larger than here. One of the things I try to take time to do, is do a quick (visual) search on the Main Pages, and try to answer (as best I can) those Threads which have "0" replies.

That, if nothing else, can help someone, who may just become a really valuable member, take an active interest in participation.

It certainly means a lot to me.

Romeo5k Be very careful not to over oil that K&N filter, over oiling is probably one of the biggest mistakes folks make with them...too much oil and it can atomize, become airborne and contaminate the MAF sensor leading to false codes...and needless repairs...

Also about the only benefit you get from a K&N is its re-usability. Once the ECM relearns the new air flow, it adjusts the fuel/air ratio back to its programmed value unless you have had a tune done.

Also hope you remember the anti-seize that in2pro recommended. Use sparingly as it's conductive and if it gets in the plug, will short out. But it will prevent broken plugs in the future.
