Default 2008 suburban remote starter

I have the factory remote starter. It started via the remote yesterday and shut off almost immediately. I tried it many times after that, even with different remotes. I can only hear a few clicks, no start. At the same time my check engine light came on. It's an evap code, not sure what code, I didn't write it down. Any easy fixes? The truck starts with the key just fine.

The remote start will not work if any codes/check engine lights are on...
You will have to resolve and clear the code before the remote start will work again...
