2008 Tahoe ac problem
Light blinks 3 times...
Temp outside was hot..
Pressure was to high...and compressor kicks on... So I let some pressure out..
Seems there is a blockage where you add refrigerant or test for pressure...one line is cold but return stays warm...... No leaks... Any ideas?

AH. Never just let some gas out of your system. The line after the set oriffice is supposed to cold and the return to the compressor is only supposed to be a little cold to cool. Not warm, but definitely below ambient temp.
Welcome to the forum.
How was it determined that the pressure was too high? Was the High Pressure switch activated? Was freon just added?
The low pressure gas line will be cold and the high pressure liquid line will be hot.
The ambient temperature sensor could be bad and indicating a temperature below 38*F which would prevent the compressor from coming on.

I was south on a vacation and hasn't used ac all winter. Went to a napa or autozone and they checked pressure.... The light finally did stay on and the compressor was kicking on, pressure was way to high , like off the scale. The guy let some freon out....this happened a few months ago.
Today...weather 77 up here in northern Ontario, light wouldn't go on as usual...then notice the light is on...but no cold air... Light went off shortly after and wouldn't go back on.
I checked pressure and it is in normal range.

Best thing to do. Fact is without proper gauges, you can't tell what's going on. Same with just adding or removing refrigerant. Without knowing how much is actually in there, you are guessing and may actually make a small problem, expensive.
Good luck.
Good luck.
