Hi all,

New guy here. I hope someone can point me in the correct direction. Last week my wife's 2009 Suburban would not start. I was of course out of town. When I returned home I hooked up the code reader as the check engine light was on. The code came back P025A fuel pump module open/short. Long story short we had some very heavy rains while I was gone she said she had driven it through some deeper water up to the middle of the rims. I did a google search and found a recall for 09's for fuel pump modules due to water intrusion. This all makes sense to me but the dealer and chevy say that ours was not in the VIN range.
Would you guys/gals push it or just give in and eat the $400 dollars to repair?
