Towed my 2009 Suburban to Chevy dealer after it would not go forward or backward while in gear. It's a 4 WD 1500 with 5.3L and 6 speed auto. 122,000 miles. Fluid is on crosshatch and clear. Dealer says it needs a new "remanufactured" transmission for at least $4,300 based on 10 hours labor not including an additional $500 for cooling tubes. Someone mentioned TECHM... Anybody have an idea if a new tranny would be necessary in this case and if so, is the price excessive? Thanks for any help!
