Default 2010 Suburban Drivers seat malfunction

Hey all, quick question. I just traded in my Tahoe for a 2010 Suburban LTZ. The drivers seat is electric, and goes in every direction. However, the front part that is supposed to go up and down, does not move. It makes a noise, as if the seat wants to move, and it stops after a few seconds when the lever is pressed up and down, but the seat itself does not move. This is the lower leg support for under your knee area. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Any help would be grateful, thanks.
